Sonic Generations Being Delisted From Digital Stores
Sega is making way for the upcoming remaster, Sonic Generations X
Sega has announced that it will be delisting the 2011 video game Sonic Generations from digital storefronts on May 20th, 2023. The game will be removed from Steam and the Xbox Games Store to make way for the upcoming remastered version, Sonic Generations X.
Players will still be able to purchase the game physically
While the digital version of Sonic Generations will no longer be available for purchase, players will still be able to buy the game physically. The physical version of the game will continue to be sold at retail stores.
Sega has not yet announced a release date for Sonic Generations X, but the game is expected to be released later this year. The remastered version of the game will include new features and content, such as new levels and characters.
Sonic Generations was originally released in 2011 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The game is a compilation of levels from throughout the Sonic series, and it features both classic and modern versions of Sonic.
